How To Obtain A Transcript If You Graduated from Healing Touch Institute School for Massage Therapy (1993-2005) in Wakefield, MA

The Non-Profit Organization of Healing Touch Institute is being dissolved. Please DO NOT send money orders made out to HTI. Please read and follow the directions on this page.

Healing Touch Institute closed its Proprietary School during 2005. There have been no paid employees since May 2005. Transcript requests have been processed by unpaid volunteers. Funds remaining after the school closed were used to support the phone, website, e-mail  account, storage of records, a bookkeeper, state filing fees and other expenses involved in providing transcripts.

 

As there are no funds remaining in the HTI account, Healing Touch will now dissolve the organization. Beginning October 2008, expenses for maintaining records and providing transcripts will be paid out-of-pocket by a private individual. Your transcript fee will only partially reimburse these expenses.

 

A transcript from Healing Touch Institute documents to a licensing board your completion of a specific course curriculum and the hours of study--and most important, that you demonstrated ethical and professional behavior during your program. Transcripts documenting the receipt of a Certificate from Healing Touch Institute’s Massage Therapy program will be provided to those who completed all program requirements and completed all payments.

 

If you completed a program offered by “Myotone Institute” (1978-1993) directed by Al Hunt, please know that Healing Touch Institute was not Myotone. Healing Touch Institute was incorporated as a separate legal entity during 1992, and never had any information or student records for Myotone. Therefore we regret that we cannot provide any documentation of your participation in that program.

To request a transcript, please mail a  money order or certified bank check for  $20.00 per transcript, made out to:

When requesting a transcript, please include specific details about where (and to whom) the transcript is to be mailed. Requests for transcripts are typically fulfilled 2-4 weeks after payment has been received. If you send a personal check in lieu of a pre-paid money order or a certified bank check, it will be returned to you; this will delay your receipt of the transcript. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD.

 

Volunteers cannot fill out paperwork and forms related to licensing, insurance or other business. If a licensing board or other organization requires information in addition to your transcript, they may view the Healing Touch program information on the website at: www.healingtouchinstitute.com.

Please do not contact the former Director, Instructors or former Staff or Board Members at their homes, business or cell phones unless they specifically give you their contact information and request that you contact them.  If you believe you have a reason to contact someone who once worked at Healing Touch Institute, please leave a message via e-mail. If the individual can be located, the message will be forwarded—it will be at the discretion of that individual to contact you.
